Roof Fundraiser A Success!

(Anonymous)

Ethereal Nightmare blew the roof off the Camp Edgewood Auditorium (No. not literally) on October 24th raising over $200.00 for the roof fund!!! Wow!!! Way to go guys!

The band not only put on an awe-inspiring show consisting of carefully selected eclectic, spiritually moving songs from many different hard rock/metal genres. Above all, the show was more of a play put to a tale of a young girl driven to the brink of madness, unable to control her emotions and come to terms spiritually with her tragic past.

Will she learn from her mistakes or will she continue to carry the weight of her past deeds with her always? It was wonderful to see how the band put together a truly spiritually moving tale. (and a moral stating that as you believe so shall it be, and that we make our own happiness or unhappiness as we obey or disobey natures physical and spiritual laws! )  As if that weren’t enough, the musicians were the actors themselves in the band!!! I recall at one point from the crowd, I watched the drummer get up and proceed to attack the girl and then she turned around and delivered him into the hands of death for the second time.

The lead was played by Deanna Ware who gave the most captivating and believable performance of betrayal, heartache and emotional upheaval ever for a child of only eight. The crowd drawn to this show was just as eclectic as the songs being played. Ages ranging from as little as six months to well…. Let’s just say a few people in the crowd knew most all of the songs (excluding the band’s original: “I Still Love You”).

One girl and her boyfriend came all the way from Arizona just to hear the band for the first time and during the band’s hour-long, fan-induced encore, they played that girl’s favorite song . Another girl took video footage of the band on her cell phone and sent it all the way to Hawaii.

This was by far the band’s best show to date and I can’t wait to see what they do in the future. The Camp is very blessed to have a group of such hard working musicians helping them to raise money for their auditorium roof !  They seem to love what they do. They put their life’s energy into every performance and they seem to genuinely appreciate they’re fans. This band, I believe will go very far !!!
